Soo, these actually arrived 2 days ago but como se dice "I'm a lazy fuck". Better late than never, no? I preordered these through Goodsmile as soon as they were announced in January. I didn't end up ordering Konata because something about her bugged me, but I fell in love with the twins immediately. I told myself "no more prize figures" to focus on scales, but Lucky Star is my weakness... (*・ω・)
Overview
I was surprised to see they didn't come in blister packaging; they were just bubble-wrapped inside of a box insert. I was a little scared for damage and examined them thoroughly, but they arrived safely. These are the only figures I own that were manufactured by Furyruu, (Again, I don't buy a lot of new releases) is this normal practice for Furyuu? I don't know. (*ﾉωﾉ) Besides that, I am very pleased with the girls. So stinking cute!! I love the detailed hems on the underskirt.

Oh she's so cute... (´｡• ω •｡`) ♡ The sculpt and paint are so beautiful on both girls but I'm especially happy with her hair & the 'movement' in her skirt. So pretty. The paint job is really good, the lines on the skirt are a little off in the back but otherwise I'm very happy with her. The bases are simple but nice; she fit into the pegs nicely.

I don't buy a lot of new releases and especially not prize figures, but I'm very happy with them! The sculpt and paint quality are really nice for cheap figures. It's nice to see all of these old animes & VN's getting new figures. ( ◡‿◡ )Does this mean we can get new Elfen Lied figs???

After a long and annoying day, I finally have time to write about this. Yay. The visit to the vet was quick and easy since it's the middle of the week, she was very helpful as always. My dad was being a dick after the vet tech left, which is why I dreaded going to the vet with him today. Usually my mom drops me off but he was free today. -_- Back to the boy, the vet confirmed that his prostate is inflamed again and he was not happy at all. Lots of squeaking and thrashing while they were examining him, my poor baby. It was pretty straight forward, a simple ultrasound and mild probing around his balls & belly. He got 4 weeks worth of anti-inflamatories & anti-biotics to help clear it up; I asked her about what can cause prostatitis but she's not sure what specifically caused his case. All we know is that it's a reoccuring issue, either because he wasn't given enough medicine last time and it came back (He got 2 weeks worth, dogs typically get 8 weeks) or it's a different, reoccuring type of prostatitis. Here's to hoping that he just didn't get enough medicine last time, since medication is the only feasible option for him. Neutering is another option she presented but it's completely out of the question due to his age and the cost. I've already spent atleast 3k in vet bills alone from owning rats for this long, but I'm not willing to drop 1k on cutting a rats balls off, okay? I gave him his medicine and he's lying next to me in his hospital cage. Thankfully, I haven't had issues with his brothers randomly becoming territorial with him, so he's going into the play pen with the other turds for play time. He isn't fond of the hospital cage, neither am I for different reasons, but I'd like to keep an eye on his movement, urine & poop color, and how often he's eating and drinking. Overall, he should be okay! Hooray! Who isn't going to be okay however, is the fucking dead bunny my dog brought in the house in the middle of me writing this. Sorry bunny.

Notice how I have two senior rats with major health concerns at the same time. Lol. Don't get rats. I don't know a specific time of when Concha's prostatitis was seemingly coming back (I don't go out of my way to watch the rats pee & poop on a regular basis, okay?), but his pee is Very Dark Brown and today he's been freaking out a bit. He's usually very active but he's walking a little funny (His arthritis is flaring up too, is it somehow connected to his prostatitis?), rougher on his brothers, and acting restless. These things are really easy to spot with experience, which is maybe the silver lining of it all: My observant nature goes great with pet husbandry. Unfortunately, my mother hates me and made me call the vet to make his appointment. I'm just a bebe my age still starts with a 1. His appointment is in a day so hopefully he hangs in there until then. I have him seperated into the hospital cage again and he'll be with me until he's feeling good again, which should hopefully be around the same as last time, but I don't want to deal with them getting territorial again. I was already freaking out and that didn't help matters. Whatever the case, he will be checked out soon and I have some questions I want to ask his vet, like if it's perhaps a genetic thing, what causes flareups, etc. I'll be updating when I know what's going on with him and what his treatment plan is. Poor guy.

Sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes I am going through it. I mentioned at some point in the past that Duende has two cysts and I was able to get them checked by the vet today. I'm not as concerned about the one on his shoulder since it's very small and hasn't grown in size, but the one on his back has grown a lot in the last few days and I'm very concerned about it. They took a sample of the tissue in the large one but the results were inconclusive; it's either a hair filled cyst, or a tumor. Or a hair filled tumor. The only way we'll know is if I get it surgically removed, but that's my issue: It's so god damn expensive!!! Jesus fucking christ!!!! I was given an estimate of between $470-$900+ dollars to get the large mass removed. I can afford it (no other financial responsibilities, which I am grateful for), but anesthesia is really hard on older rats and can be fatal and the surgery will be really hard on his little old body, and I don't know if he can handle it. I was told to call and schedule it when I'm ready, but I know that I'll have to consider the most humane option for him. I'm trying to stay positive but I know euthenasia is in his future. His quality of life is good right now, but I'll keep an eye on him & the growth's development until it isn't. My main concern is mobility and if it'll press on his spine/legs if it gets too large, which I don't know if that'll come sooner or later. My sweet boy... why must rats be predisposed to such terrible health issues. It's hard to believe that he's already a year & a half old already, he's so small and sweet. The boys are starting to slow down with age, but they're still very active and full of personality. Having rats for so long and dealing with so many losses has prepared me for the inevitable loss, but it doesn't make it hurt any less each time. Especially so when it comes to discussions of euthanasia. One of the worst things about euthanasia is that his brothers won't know what happened to him. When I had to put Bigfoot down, the boys would look for him during play time because they didn't know where he went. :-(Until I have to make the hard choice to put him down, I'm trying to give him the best time possible. He's doing well currently and he's still eating plenty. He's in the playpen with his brothers as I write this, and they all got some Cheerios to dig for in their dirt box.

This kind of works in compound with my previous post from yesterday, but this is more about my collection, not the entirety of the figure market. I've been interested in anime & figurines ever since I was a kid, but I got my first figure in ~2020-ish when I got my first big-girl job: the Super Sonico Campus Life prize figure.
Isn't she cute? I fell in love with the motion of her hair and I'm definitely keeping her. I've been a little unhappy with my collection as of late, or maybe just unhappy in general, and I've been selling some figures that bother me in order to make room for new figs. When I first started collecting, I was mostly interested in anime characters, Hatsune Miku, and cute/bright figures in general. I've lost interest in this over the years, and nowadays I only really care about original characters & fetish oriented figures. The perv life chose me. Scales & vintage figures are my main interest over things like prizes & PUP figs. There's many prize figures I like but not as many that I like enough to dedicate some of my limited space to displaying them, you know? It's taken some time to figure out my tastes as I've explored the figure world, but I think I'm happy with where I am. Nurses, rubber/latex, bondage, maids and guns/weapons are my weaknesses in figures, especially when it's a cute girl with a giant weapon. I have a very clear type hah. I'm a big fan of Lechery, Vibrastar, Yamadaya, Okayama Figure Engineering, Native, and Clayz. Some of these are defunct or focus on modern styles/anime IP's nowadays, though that's expected. Trends come and go I suppose, but I don't see many distinct trends for the 2020s. One of the few modern trends I like (in figures, atleast) is the Jirai style. I don't care for the fashion style irl, but the reflection of the trend in figures is very cute. I'm a big fan of the 'Dear My Rubber' line and YD's figures in general. His art is really nice and I love how it's adapted to the figures, but they're a little out of my price range right now. :'D I also see a bit of a resurgence in cow prints, though I doubt it ever completely went out of style. I think it can be cute sometimes, though a lot of cow figs seem to be the boring balloon-tit figures. But, my diamond in the rough is a pre-order bonus figure for a BJD called Cow Momo that I fucking love, oh my god it's so good but I unfortunately don't really collect dolls. Maybe there's someone selling just the PO bonus?
I love this so much. Love love love. I need it bad. There's many good BDSM OC figures out there but gimps are kind of rare and I hope to see more of them in the future. BDSM figures are pretty common and have always existed, but the market is a bit oversaturated with figs manufactured by B'full and Insight right now. I also wish to see more fetish oriented figures that aren't lolicon shit. It's probably a nitpicky place to draw the line, considering my other interests, but I do nooooottt caaaareee for lolis. I also really doubt there will be any extreme guro figures released, prepainted or GK, but there's a few recent releases with amputee parts that I like. One can dream.

This is very opinionated and just me rambling. Do not take this seriously. I've been CUCKED by B'full releasing so many beautiful designs. TL;DR: B'full is a figure manufacturer that 3D prints figures to create more detailed, delicate designs using PMMA. PMMA is a very fragile material akin to glass, and figures made with it are very likely to break, warp and bend. Not to mention, their QC seems iffy and many people recieve figures with layer lines & supports not sanded off. Their figures aren't cheap either, which is a double-whammy. They have so many beautiful & unique designs I'd buy immediately if they weren't so brittle. :-( I love exploring old figure circles on MFC and admiring the simpler sculpts and simple faces, especially so on Garage Kits. They're wonderfully handmade and incredibly charming to look at. There's plenty of new figures I like, but it seems many big companies are in a serious quality-control drought. cough cough Goodsmile. One of my favorite things are the old art styles and how they were translated to a physical figure. So so so cute.

Some of them look silly today, but I loove retro art styles. So stinkin cute. Figure manufacturing has gotten so much better in the last 10 years and there's many beautiful Garage Kits, but retro designs are close to my heart. Once you get familiar with them, it becomes almost easy to tell the age of a figure just by looking at them. Does this just mean I'm mega-unemployed? Probably, but I still struggle to find figures from the last 8 years that I like. I'm more interested in Original Character figures and especially NSFW figures, so maybe my opinion is based on 'narrow' specifications, but many of the figures I've kept an eye on are manufactured by very well known companies, so I feel like my expectations aren't unrealistic. I don't expect every figure to stand out to me, but I wish there were more unique ideas produced with a GOOD material and for a reasonable price. One of the designers keeping me sane is Jack Dempa and his catalog of mature women with bushes!!!! And some 'lemonade' if that interests you. Not a designer, but Native has some good figures lined up too. This kind of rounds back to my earlier comment: It's nice to see more figures for unpopular interests, but sometimes it doesn't compare to the lower-budget figures. I've seen many figures do great things with limited details in their sculpt, and so many modern NSFW figures feel very 'copy and pasted' nowadays. The 'new releases' page of MFC is like looking into a sea of clones; same face syndrome is plaguing the industry!!! And how many blonde balloon tit aheago bunnysuit scales do we need??

Packaging
I didn't get a photo with her inside of the box & before I removed the plastic sleeves, oops. The box is nicely designed & the blister packaging is pretty average. She had small plastic sheets that seperated the legs & torso, and her face from her hair.
Overview
Isn't she cute? Her uniform & hair sculpt and paint are very nice. I'm used to Nendoroid Doll bodies so the standard Nendoroid body was a little different for me, but she's very cute. So so cute.
Close-Up
She comes with two extra faces. I kept her in the default face as I was tired of messing with her after taking photos, but I loooove love love her second face so much. I love you, Anya. I think the community outrage about her suicide face & pill bottle accessory was outrageous; it's a horror game and her suicide is a major turning point of the game, obviously they're going to reference it in her figure??!!
She comes with a hand with a peg to hold small items. I couldn't get the pill bottle to fit in her hand very well, but the bottle fits fine. The hat has a small plastic sheet poking through the center to stick it into the seamlines of the hair. Anya's hair seam is surprisingly very good compared to the others I've seen or experienced, but I don't know how well this method of attachment works. I made a similar decision for felt ears for my Nick but the gaps in his hairline made it nearly impossible for them to stand up. Felt is way thicker than a teeny plastic tab, as you could imagine. I forgot to get a picture of just the bent arm & hat alone, sorry.
Criticism
I don't like Nendoroids much because I know Goodsmile's QC is a fucking joke, and jesus did this reinforce my idea!! What the fuck is going on with her hair? There's minor marks on the front but the back is fucking horrible. I've had a ridiculous experience trying to get an exchange for paint issues in the past and I'm not even gonna bother with trying to get it replaced. The back won't be visible from where I'll have her displayed, but I shouldn't have to overdose on copium to make myself be completely 'happy' about my purchase. Goodsmile is a VERY SUCCESSFUL company and the consumer shouldn't expect to recieve terrible quality items from them!!! The pill bottle not fitting the hand very well is just fucking hilarious. I understand imperfections with smaller parts, especially when they're being made in a factory, but with everything else going on here...
Final Thoughts
She's adorable and I'm happy to have her, but the quality issues make it difficult to really enjoy her fully. I wish Goodsmile put more care and attention into the Nendoroid line. I really like Mouthwashing though I'm not sure if I'll buy more merch of the game unless it really stands out to me. I'm still happy to see the developers succeed and I'll continue to keep an eye out for any new releases.

I look so unenthusiastic in these photos LMAO I was dead tired okay... I'm still not used to waking up so early. My dad took me & my brother shooting today. My brother went one time before, but I couldn't go because I had work. Now that I'm enjoying my unemployment, I was able to go! If I remember right, the gun I used today was my mom's old pistol. My dad has a few pistols & a rifle, but I used the tiny one as a starter. He wouldn't tell me much about it (I can shoot the gun but not know what it is?), but I think it's a .22LR. If you know what it is, feel free to correct me. It's a little old and jammed up a few times, but my dad said I'll get my own pistol if I keep going to the range with him. ^.^ I didn't shoot any of the other pistols because I was trying to get comfortable with the dinky one first, but I want to try one of the other ones out next time.
And obviously I brought Nick. Are we surprised. He stayed in my pocket for the full time except for the two photos, maybe he was my good luck charm? I asked my brother to get a video for me; this was my FIRST time shooting, okay? Literally my first bullets. Be nice about my form, I fixed it on my next turn. (Volume warning!!!!)
On one of my last shots (not in the video), the casing ricocheted from the wall and dinked me in the head lol. I had fun and it was nice to get out again, maybe I'll put one of my target sheets on my wall.

I don't post my face online because #Scared, but I did my makeup today for the first time in a while. So long in fact, I had forgotten my makeup sponge in a plastic baggie in my purse from the last time I went out. When I grabbed it today, it was very moldy... I had to steal a new one from my mom. You can probably tell by my pose in the photo that I was very sleepy; I'm not used to waking up so early (9 am, considering my unemployment), but it's worth it to see my friend. We were talking about work & he mentioned that he knew what days I was working (at my old job) because I'd send him instagram reels at 5 in the morning haha. It's been a rough week, so it was nice to see a friend and catch up again. I found some nice clothes, not that I need more tshirts, but I've been itching to go out and do literally anything.
Two of them are kid's event shirts for states I've never been to, but they were cute and funny. I haven't added my photos to my Collections page yet, but I looove stupid tees. Maybe I'll wear my gun shirt to the shooting range tomorrow, if I remember to wash it tonight.

I can't catch a fucking break, can I? As soon as one problem is resolved, another appeared. I had put Concha back into the cage & seperated Chayote into the hospital cage for a few days because he was being a dick, and his time in solitary confinement has taught him to be nice. He's back in the cage with the other two and he is (mostly) well behaved. That's resolved, but Duende is starting to grow two lumps. I've seen one small lump on his upper back a week ago & I've been monitoring its size & progression, but a second lump has gone under my radar. I have felt that his butt is getting a little bony because he's getting older, so this had gone unnoticed because I had assumed it was just his butt bones until I inspected it. I'm not sure how long it has been there. Both of these are roughly in the area of the sebaceous glands, where cysts seem to be more common in males, so I'm hoping they're cysts!!! I've experienced cysts in males in the past and the smaller one feels about the same, but the one on his lower back feels odd. They're both very solid and a uniform shape, the one on his upper back is small and round but the one on his lower back feels almost frisbee shaped. Cysts typically pop and clear on their own, I have an antibiotic that I'll be giving him and I'll keep an eye on the progression of his lumps. I also have spray saline & Blu-Kote that I'll use to clean them up if they pop on their own.
To end on some good news, I have gotten my labret to an 8 gauge! I custom ordered some glass 6g & 4g jewelry through Body Art Forms (My saviour), and they should arrive in 2 months or so. I'll start prepping to stretch to a 6g when BAF recieves the jewelry. I ordered the jewelry together to save time and shipping costs. I can't wait to get to 0g! My goal is to get to 0g and have a nice clear glass labret. I looove the look of clear jewlery in large gauge piercings... soooo keewwwll.

This is very short because I don't have much to say but I am glad to say that Concha has healed very well from his Prostatitis! I was extremely worried when he was diagnosed because I couldn't find any relevant information about it in rats, but he's healed quickly and smoothly. After about 2 weeks of medication and rest in a hospital cage, he's energetic and his diet has gone back to normal. I've been working on getting him back with his brothers, but that hasn't gone as smoothly. I've been reintroducing him slowly because they had some major tension the last time they saw eachother. Duende seems scared of him surprisingly, but Chayote is an asshole. Dominance displays and aggressive behavior is common during introductions, but there has been only one instance where I deemed it necessary to immediately seperate them. Chayote isn't aggressive at all with Duende, just to fatty. Nevertheless, I've only been doing reintroductions for a few days, and hopefully this will get cleared up by the end of the week! Concha is getting antsy in the hospital cage, but I don't want to put him in the main cage until I'm sure that they won't fight/seriously harm eachother when I'm not in the room.

I quit most forms of art a few years ago, but my love for Nick prevailed and convinced me to get back into it. I even learned how to use new software & new materials~ I love my bag so so much and it makes me so happy. I hope to add more to the inside pouch, but I have some other stuff to focus on right now. Very blunt title, but I don't know what else to title this. Concha was diagnosed with Prostatitis and Arthritis in his hind legs 2 days ago and I've been very worried about him.. I haven't been able to find any medical information or personal accounts of inflamation of the prostate in rats, so I've been just monitoring him closely. I seperated him into a hospital cage 3 days ago to keep an eye on him and let him rest. It seems to hurt more when he stands up or tries to climb on stuff, but the little guy is still trying to move around! Concha is surprisingly unexpressive considering how nasty this is; I suspected a UTI because his only symptom at the time was persistent dark urine. The vet gave me Meloxidil (Anti-inflamatory), Bactrim (Antibiotic), and a urine sample cup. He's taken 4 doses of medicine as of writing and I haven't gotten the urine sample yet.
Since the day of his appointment, he hasn't been eating his regular food pellets. So far he's only been eating (plain) Cheerios, baby puffs, Pedialyte, eggs, yogurt, baby food, and some fruits. I've been mixing baby Pedialyte into his soft foods to keep him hydrated. I couldn't find the spare water bottle, and this is the one time I appreciate the annoying water bottle sounds. He has a shallow bowl of water that he keeps trying to hide by covering it with paper bedding, which leads to me replacing his water every few hours. -.- Atleast I know he's still active. I'm hoping that he'll get back to his normal self soon, but the sudden diet change isn't a good sign.. The boys are a little over 1 year old, and they're getting to the age where health issues are becoming more common. The only other time I've experienced Prostatitis was with Bigfoot, and he had to be put down because his chances of recovery were extremely low. :-( I'm trying to stay positive, but I can't help the feeling that he's not going to recover from this. An inflamed prostate can be healed in humans, but I'm not so sure about the chances in older rats. The vet did point out the inflamation in his X-ray and explain some stuff to me, but I wasn't fully present.. I've had 4 rats die in the past from complications of old age, illness, etc. and I've had to get used to seeing them deteriorate in their final days. Concha's a strong guy and he's still doing good, but I can't help but feel like I'm just lying to myself.
His brothers miss him but I haven't let him back into the cage or playpen with the other two because Chayote plays rough, and I don't want to stress Concha out more than necessary. Maybe I'll put his hospital cage in the playpen so they can see that he's still alive. And in the worst case scenario, let them see his body before we bury him. Xuxu is usually a jerk, but he's been lying with Duende more often recently, and he lies with me when I visit them in the playpen. :-( I hope he's going to be okay.

Hi! So I did kind of lie about getting my laptop repaired 'soon', but I've sold quite a few things on Depop to pay for the replacement part. I'm hoping to get it done about 2 weeks from now. 2 weeks because I have the My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult concert coming up next Friday!!!! I've been getting better at driving, but I'm not confident enough to drive to the repair shop myself... So I have to wait for when my dad can take me. Beggars can't be choosers... I'll update when those happen, but today I went to a craft store to get embroidery thread. On the way home, the magical forces of the local thrift store called me in... I couldn't resist the temptation.. This thrift store has been my absolute favorite and I always find real gems here. I've found Tripp NYC, Royal Bones, and other 'goth' brands for real good prices consistently for almost 10 years. Their CD selection is pretty average, a bunch of Reba and easy listening compilation CDs. But today I found a real treat!

Two posts in one day! Wow! The other one was posted at like 1 AM.. I'm going to try to get my laptop repair done on Friday, and I've been working on some stuff. I have a scrapped Nick x Rochelle SFM Poster that I wanted to redo before my laptop started being fucky. I have the background and lighting set up already, which I used for the Rochelle poster I uploaded recently, but no duo pose ideas... It isn't a porn poster believe it or not. I honestly only bother with SFM for my franick porn anyways LOL, but I need some variety and practice. I'll work on that as soon as possible, but until then I have been working on a genderbent franick fic. ^.^ I've mostly written in AP format for the past few years (Journalism in High School) and I feel like ChatGPT. I'm also very hydrated like ChatGPT. My two main issues are writing without sounding too professional and trying to stay in character. I've lived in the south my whole life and the furthest I've been from the south was visiting in Nevada. I'm not an etomology nerd or racist, I'm not very good at identifying regional US accents. Nick is inferred to be from up north, and I think Francis is from Pennsylvania since it was mentioned that he was atleast arrested there in the comics. Close enough! I'll do some research to try to make them sound right. I don't know when I'll finish the Franick fic, but I'll post it on AO3. I try to proof-read as I go but if they still sound like hicks, sorry.

I've always been rather quiet and kept to myself. When I was a kid on Club Penguin, Roblox, MSP, Jumpstart (this was my SHIT!!!!), etc. I never spoke to people, I just logged on to play my game and leave. I did end up joining fandoms when I was like 14 on tumblr, twitter & everskies, which is when I got mega canceled. I was in the TCC from like, 2017-2023 (Became a lurker after 2020), and eventually left because the community was becoming overrun with discord edgelords.. and nazis... But this was what got me uber canceled because I hadn't disclosed that I was in the TCC while also being in like, MLP spaces and shit. I was 14, okay? On that topic, I've never felt connection or community in 'socially acceptable' fandom spaces but I've always found community with 'degens' and outcasts online. I've never had even a sliver of the support I've recieved from latex horsegirls and guro fetishists when I was in 'normal' communities. Ever since that incident, I've been especially wary of joining online communities because I get so paranoid that I'm going to get witch hunted again... My art tumblr is getting a little popular, and I kinda only use SFM for my porn nowadays, and I keep getting a gnawing feeling in my head that someone is going to connect it to my main blog and 'expose' me for being into weird porn games. It feels ridiculous, but I've also been online enough to know this 100% does happen. I didn't make an art blog to become a celebrity SFM user with my shitty posters, but the engagement is nice. I've made a few friends through it and it makes the paranoia feel worse every time we interact. I'm not being secretive and sneaky about what I like, I just don't think it's necessary to wear a dunce cap that says 'I HAVE CONTROVERSIAL FETISHES', you know? Without trying to sound like an 'alpha wolf' or an edgelord, I've been alone for long enough that I'd be authentically me and lonely anyday before I make a sanitized personality to fit in with people who won't accept me for who I am. I've been feeling emo and unmedicated this past week.

I've been using Canva to make a mockup of my ita bag insert! I will finally work on it! I still need to design the pins, but this time I really do have an excuse for not doing it yet. I still haven't gotten my laptop repaired because I'm too humiliated to show my face at the repair shop again (and I'm scared that I won't be able to afford the repairs rn). In the mean time, I've been working on my insert design. I didn't want to do a repeat bag because of manufacturing costs, so I went with a decorated background instead. I gathered some inspo as I went and landed on this design. I tried to be as cost-concious as possible while designing it because I am #poor.
Side note, these aren't my final pin and PC designs, I used the only photos I have on my phone as placeholders. I went through a lot of variations and modifications through this, which is why I did a mockup instead of jumping right into it. I kept faithful to his color pallete of white, blue and gold. Finding blues in his specific color was very difficult, but I tried to stay in the same hue range. You can't really tell with some of the Canva elements, but hopefully all the ribbon I ordered is acceptable in person! While I'm happy with the design for the most part, I haven't been able to decide on something I like for the bottom corner. I wanted to put my nui in the corner, but his big ass head would cover up the toploader. I have some leftover felt and I've been considering making a cute felt nui to cover up the space? I don't know yet, but I didn't want to make the insert completely symmetrical... I don't have much else to say here because this is just the mockup and not the final thing, I'll update when everything arrives.

I'm writing this as of 3.16, but don't even worry about it! I went shopping with my mom today at Daiso, Micheal's, my old Goodwill, and an estate sale. My outfit was bland, but I just started my period and I couldn't be bothered today.

I wear these sandals 99% of the time I go out LOL they're comfy and quick to put on. It was so damn windy today!! I tied my hair into a little garlic nub 'pony tail' so it wouldn't be everywhere. My hair is at an awkward point of growing it out, and it tests my sanity daily. An ugly bob-mullet thing but I need to stay strong and leave it alone... I went to Micheals to look for ribbon, and unfortunately didn't find any. The pinks are always a very similar hue, but blue ribbon that is a true baby blue is so damn hard to find!! Everything is too teal!!! Instead, I got a nice crafting knife. I use a single unsecured utility blade to cut out stuff and it is very hard to do neatly, and I figured it would be a nice investment. After Micheal's, we were on the way to a Daiso before we got side-tracked with an estate sale. I was skeptical at first, but I found some cute things and they were having a 70% off sale! I got a cute polka dot dress and a little ceramic container thing for a few bucks. They had a lot of interesting things, and a lot of unique cultural items from Chinese, Japanese, African (I know Africa is a continent, these were behind a display and I didn't get a picture, so I'm not sure of which regions specifically), and I believe German traditions. Very interesting! They also had a lot of really nice jewelry, I saw an adorable prayer box one but it was too expensive for me. The jewelry wasn't on sale unfortunately. After that we went to Daiso, where I spent way too much money on craft supplies. I have an addiction. This Daiso is further from my home but has a lot more craft stuff than the one closest to me, but they didn't have basic toploaders in the size I needed -_- Oh well, I found plenty of other good stuff to keep me busy. Mostly nice frill trims and pearl stickers. I also found a really cute photo picket fan keychain!! I haven't decorated it yet, but I was surprised to see them. After spending Too Much at Daiso, my mom dragged me along to my old Goodwill... I used to work at Goodwill when I was 16. I don't reccomend it. My managers were pieces of shit & one was a pedo, and corporate wasn't much better. It's been a few years and these people have either died (coworker besties groupchat drama) or gotten fired, so it was peaceful! It still stinks in there though. I found a cute top for myself, a present for a friends birthday coming soon, and a cute little rosary. I found a little crown ring in the parking lot, I think it's Mardi Gras themed? Maybe it's just because it's purple, but it's cute. No picture of the Daiso haul because I forgot it in the car.

I went to the mall with my brother today. Apparently there was a huge fight in the food court yesterday, but it was still crowded AF. Unsurprising for a Sunday... I don't go to the mall very often since I only care for a small selection of stores, most notably Miniso and Barnes & Nobles. My B&N sucks nuts and the manga section is 99% isekai slop, and the 'mature' section is very slim, but they atleast have Calico Critters... I wasn't allowed to have Calico Critters as a kid (they were too expensive), but now that I have adult money I can continue to window-shop for them. I walked around for a bit, but I only ended up buying 2 blind boxes at Miniso. The Kewpie Baby figure boxes have me in a chokehold! I have 10 of them, two of which are duplicates, but they're so damn cute!!! I'm mostly immune to blind-box propaganda surprisingly, I avoid them if there's even one prize that I don't like. Hot Topic and Spencers are two stores I typically visit (Unsurprisingly), but they were boring.. The unfortunate thing about liking a lot of "obscure" (for lack of better word?) genres is that Hot Topic becomes very mundane. The band tee selection plus whatever other shit they sell nowadays. The jewelry is meh, almost always too expensive to be worth it. Some of the My Little Pony stuff is cute however, but I don't need any jewelry. That's the crafters curse: "Why buy it for 15 dollars when I can make it with my 30+ dollars tools and supplies?" I do more supply hoarding than actual crafting, but it comes in handy sometimes!
I haven't gotten to go out in a while (life has been busy, car battery died, my mom's car feels funny to drive), and even though I quite hate the mall, it was nice to get outside. And get new toys. I didn't get a picture of my outfit, oops! Maybe next 'outing' blog post will include photos. I have miserably little phone storage right now, anyways..

I've gotten a few questions about these, and I decided to make a tutorial. You will need to know the X-Base stitch to make this. I saw KandiToyBox made Fluffy covers with a double stitch, but I wanted to experiment with a modified X-Base version. ^.^ Rewritten with better method! Now this can work as fluffies covers or a leg garter!
Final Product example
Supplies: You will need a thick, nonstretchy string/cord (I used T-shirt Jersey), stretchy string (I don't recommend fishing line or stretch magic because it needs to stretch, & stretch magic isn't durable), pony beads, and optionally accent beads and a lighter. I hope this is obvious, but do not use a thin stretchy string as the lace-up string because it will cheese-wire your legs, and won't hold.
1. Cut your stretchy string. I cut about a wingspan amount because you'll need a lot.
2. Add your beads to the string in a 1-3-1 pattern until the BEADED section can wrap almost completely around underneath your knee. Make sure you have one accent bead on each end. Leave about a ~2 inch gap so you can lace it up later. I did 49 beads total, but this depends on your leg size.
3. Pull your string tight, and tie a thick knot on each end to prevent the beads from slipping out. I got impatient and frustrated and used two tiny pony beads to keep the knot from slipping out, and it was easier to keep it taut.
4. Thread your string through your closest accent bead, then start adding beads. Add 5 beads to your string then go through the next accent bead. This is the same as the regular x-base stitch pattern until you get to the other end.
5. After getting to the other end, follow the arrow from the image above. Thread back up into the spike until you get to the peak/accent bead, and repeat step 4. This will get you to one full X. This is how tall I make mine, but you can make it taller if you like.
6. Once you get to the end, add on beads in a 2-1-3 pattern. Two of your base color, one accent, and three of your base color again. This will make the corner stitch into a full X. Don't worry, we get to the other side soon.
7. To start closing it up, add three if your base color beads inbetween each peak. This is the standard X-base stitch again.
8. Repeat step 6, but in reverse. Add your beads in a 3-1-2 pattern and thread it down in the middle bead of the X and tie.
9. You finished the base! Now to add the thread to tie it around your leg. I used t-shirt jersey because that's what I have on hand, but you can use ribbon, yarn, etc. Thread it into the top corner beads, and the bottom corner beads. Kind of like threading shoelaces. I used the tail of a comb to shove the jersey through the beads. Adding a corset back makes this easy to adjust, and customizeable!
10. If you want to add 3D spikes to it, it's the exact same as a 3D X-base cuff. If you want to add the dangling threads like my example, thread a scrap of your thicker string through the bottom accent bead, add beads, and tie the bottom. Make sure your knot is thick enough so the beads can't fall through. You can also add beads to the tie-back strings, but be aware that these click-clack when you walk lol. You can also add pom-poms inbetween the gaps of the X'es to add dimension and color, but I ran out.
